Ping G10 Fairway Wood
Aug 28th, 2009 by admin

Ping have produced another great golf club. Ping G10 Fairway Wood is deserving to be called a piece of art for the styling that Ping designers have given it. When taken on the golf course, there is little doubt that the G10 wood can deliver outstanding drives time after time. In this article we will be taking a closer look at the great weapon of destruction created by Ping.

So – Ping G10 Fairway features quite a number of interesting and intriguing things. Firstly, there is an integrated weight pad that allows to move the centre of gravity quite low into the bottom of the clubhead. The effect of this move is that the moment of inertia literally makes the ball fly off the surface of the club and up into the air, instantly producing the desired high launch.

The trajectory achieved by the low center of gravity lets the drives become longer and straighter than with previous Ping fairway wood models like G5.

However, there is one little word of advice if you are thinking of using this fairway wood as a driver – the face of this stick is fairly shallow, which means it may be hard to hit it off the tee. The swing of the player must be well established to hit the ball well.
